FATCA stands for the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, a U.S. tax initiative that requires all financial Institutes (including Indian Mutual Funds) to report financial transactions of US persons including entities in which U.S. persons hold a substantial ownership, etc. to the relevant tax authorities.

It is introduced by the United States Department of Treasury and the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the purpose of FATCA is to encourage better tax compliance by preventing US persons from using financial institutions outside US to avoid US taxation on their income and assets.

• Choose the scheme you want to invest in, and simply click on the INVEST button

• A form will open up on the screen. Choose your investment mode (Lumpsum or SIP) and fill in your investment specifics. Once done, click on ‘PROCEED WITH MY INVESTMENT’ button

• You will be directed to the ‘CREATE YOUR FOLIO’ form. Enter your details and make the payment using your preferred payment mode

• Download the C-KYC Form from the DOWNLOADS section.

• Duly fill up the C-KYC form and submit it at the nearest AMC office or CAMS Investor Service centre.

If you are a KYC verified investor, you will need following documents to create a folio online.

• For an individual - Scanned Copy of a Cancelled Cheque

• Additionally, for a Minor – Proof of Relationship with Guardian (1.Aadhar Card, 2.Pan Card, 3.Passport, 4.School leaving certificate) & Proof of Date Of Birth (1. PAN Card 2. Passport 3. Birth certificate issued by Municipal authorities or by Indian Embassy for Non Resident Indian Minors born overseas 4. School leaving certificate/ Matriculation or SSC certificate wherever DOB is mentioned 5. Domicile Certificate issued by the Government  6. Affidavit sworn before a magistrate confirming date of birth)

Currently non-individual investors cannot create a login, since additional documents are required for the same, apart from being KYC verified.

If already have an offline folio, follow these steps to activate your folio online:

• Click on the EXISTING INVESTOR band on the Home Page

• When the form opens, click on the CLICK TO ACTIVATE FOLIO button at the bottom

• It will open up a dialog box for folio activation. Enter your Folio Number and PAN Number. Once done, request for an OTP.

• Enter the OTP and access your folio online

• Enter your id and password to login into the INVESTMENT PORTAL

• Click on the My Investments section on the dashboard

• Alternatively, you can also view the market value of your investments in the Folios section

• Login into your Investment Portal using your ID and password

• Click on, 'Download Statements', button in the ‘Recent Activity’ section

• Login into the INVESTMENT PORTAL using your ID and password

• Click on the VIEW button near the folio you own

• The FOLIOS page will open up showing the details of your folio

• Open the Funds tab on the page and click on the TRANSACT button next to the fund you have chosen, and choose the REDEEM option from the drop-down menu

There are two investment modes available viz.

1. Lumpsum mode to invest an amount in a single go

2. SIP (or Systematic Investment Plan) which allows you to invest on a monthly or quarterly basis for a specified period

To change the Bank account details, following documents needs to be submitted at any ISC

1. Request letter signed by all the unit holder(s) according to the mode of holding.
2. Proof of New Bank Mandate – Self attested copy of any one of the following documents (originals should be produced for verification) or wherever the original cannot be brought for verification copy should be attested by the Bank:

·       Cancelled original cheque of the new bank mandate with first unit holder name and bank account number printed on the face of the cheque.

                       OR

·       Self-attested copy of not older than 3 months bank statement containing the first unit holder name and bank account number

                      OR

·       Bank passbook with current entries not older than 3 months containing the first unit holder name and bank account number.

                        OR

·       Original Bank Letter on the letterhead containing the first unit holder name and bank account Number duly signed by branch manager/authorized personnel with name, employee code and bank seal.

3. Proof of New Existing Bank Mandate - Self attested copy of any one of the following documents (originals should be produced for verification) or wherever the original cannot be brought for verification copy should be attested by the Bank:   

   ·       Cancelled original cheque with first unit holder name and bank account number printed on the face of the cheque.

                           OR

   ·       Original bank account statement / Pass book containing the first unit holder name and bank account number.

                          OR

   ·       Original Bank Letter on the letterhead containing the first unit holder name and bank account Number duly signed by branch manager/authorized personnel with name, employee code and bank seal.

                          OR

   ·       In case such bank account is already closed, an original letter on the letterhead of such bank duly signed by the Branch Manager with name, employee code and bank seal, confirming the closure of said account.

• Click on the ‘Downloads’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page

• Open the ‘Transaction Forms’ menu and download the ‘Multiple Bank Accounts Registration’ form

• To add new Bank account details, following documents need to be submitted at nearest ISC:

1) Multiple Bank Account Registration Form, signed by all the unit holder(s) according to the mode of holding in the folio.

2) Proof of New Bank Mandate – Self attested copy of any one of the following documents (originals should be produced for verification) or wherever the original cannot be brought for verification copy should be attested by the Bank:

• Cancelled original cheque of the new bank mandate with first unit holder name and bank account number printed on the face of the cheque.

OR

• Self attested copy of bank statement (not older than 3 months) containing the first unit holder name and bank account number

OR

• Bank passbook with current entries not older than 3 months containing the first unit holder name and bank account number.

OR

• Original Bank Letter on the letterhead containing the first unit holder name and bank account number duly signed by branch manager/authorized personnel with name, employee code and bank seal.

• Click on the ‘Downloads’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page

• Open the ‘KYC Forms’ menu and download the ‘Change in KYC (CKYC)’ form

• Submit the duly signed by all the unit holder(s) according to the mode of holding, to CAMS POA (Points of Acceptance)  / at Point of Service (POS) of any KYC Registration Agency

• Email id and Phone Number can also be updated by submitting a duly signed written request at nearest ISC

• Click on the ‘Downloads’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page

• Open the ‘KYC Forms’ menu and download the ‘Change in KYC (CKYC)’ form

• Fill the form and submit it to along with the self attested copy of the address proof, which is verified with original either by the Distributor or the AMC personnel to the nearest ISC location of KRA (KYC Registration Agency)

• Click on the ‘Downloads’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page

• Open the ‘KYC Forms’ / ‘Non-transactional Forms’ menu and download the ‘KYC Change Request Form’

• Fill the form and submit the Supplementary CKYC Form along with the self attested copy of the required proof, which is verified with original either by the Distributor or the AMC personnel to the nearest ISC location of KRA (KYC Registration Agency)

• Click on the ‘Downloads’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page

• Open the Account Forms’ menu and download the ‘FATCA & CRS Form’  

• Submit the duly filled and signed FATCA Form by all the holders of the Folios as per mode of holding.

• FATCA details can also be updated online through CAMSONLINE.COM

Transactions submitted using the Facility will be accepted / executed in accordance with and subject to the terms as contained in the SAI, SID and KIM of the respective scheme(s) and the terms and conditions of the Facility. The uniform cut-off time as prescribed under SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996 and as mentioned in the SIDs / KIMs of respective scheme(s) of the Fund shall be applicable for the transactions received through the above referred electronic platform of the Fund and the time of receipt transaction recorded on the server of Mahindra Asset Management Company Private Limited, will be reckoned as the time of receipt of transaction for the purpose of determining applicability of NAV, subject to credit of funds to bank account of scheme(s), wherever applicable.

• If some/none of your units are not available for transaction, they could be locked partially or completely

To add ARN number, follow the steps given below

• Select REGULAR while conducting a transaction

• The form will ask for your advisor’s ARN details

• Enter the ARN details to add them and continue with your transaction

• You can add the ARN details at any step of the transaction

You need to contact your Demat Service Provider for the statement and the details of units held in Demat format.

For consolidation of all the folios, investor has to first submit at nearest ISC a duly signed written request by all the holders of the Folio.

Following are the primary requirements for consolidation of folios:

• All folios should belong to the same investor.

• All folios should have the same mode of operation.

• All folios should have the same non-financial transaction details like bank account, address, nominee details, etc.

• None of the folios should have an active SIP

For updation or change of Nominee in the Folio, investor needs to submit the duly signed written request or the Non-Financial Transactions Form by all the holders of the Folio, irrespective of the mode of holding at his nearest ISCs/Official Points of Acceptance of Mahindra Mutual Fund.
